Photography students next steps

Making a proof sheet. You need to upload your photos onto a mac, use photoshop and make a proof or a contact sheet. (We are working on CS6)

You do this by first of all transferring your photos that you took into a folder on the computer. That means you take them OFF the camera. Please delete them from the camera once you have done this.

Once you have that sorted, make sure you know where the folder is and what it is named.

Open photoshop, but do not open any files. click on FILE - then down to Automate, and select contact sheet II.

There is a button called CHOOSE. That is where you need to go, find your folder and select OK.

Photoshop is going to build your proof/contact sheet. Leave it for a few minutes to do this.

Once this is done, flatten each page and save as a JPEG. Ask me or someone who knows how, if you are unsure. Email me your proof sheet and upload it onto your blogs. There is a lot of your figuring this out for yourselves, but once you have done this, you will be sorted and you can teach others in our class.

Plan for the week

Sorry this took a while, couldn't load the image to begin with...

Where to find your course work and feedback for your class this year:

On our google site:
Book mark this if you haven't already.

If you hover over the NCEA Visual Art levels' 1 - 3 button, you get to see the course outlines drop down. you can select to see one of those there.

Otherwise, if you want your class page, click on the blue tab directly. it takes you here:

You should all know what line you are in by now. Clicking on the correct line, will take you to your own class resources, including our shared google sheet, which also has your blog addresses on it. Because of the nature of google sites at this point, unless you have editing permissions for the whole page. you will only be able to VIEW this sheet from here. However, you do have it in your google drive in 'shared with me'.

This is where all the feedback we have talked through in class should be recorded. It means you can always go back to it. Now that you know how to find it, I would like you to make sure you are always act…

End of Term Three

Deadlines for folios are as follows:

Level 1 (1.3) is due 18th October at 4pm
Level 2 (2.4 Paint, Design and Photography) is due 25th October at 4pm
Level 3 (3.4 Paint, Print, Design, Photography) is due 1st November 4pm.

Art Exhibition of student work will be held on Monday 4th November from 5.30pm - 7pm. This is open to everyone. It may not include all of the level 2 folios due to NZQA timelines for moderation, but those not physically present will be represented in a data show.

I will be looking to select one piece of student work for the exhibition invite, which is most likely to be from within the year 12 group.
